Buying Office 2024 for Mac keys
Microsoft released Office 2024 in October 2024 as the newest one-time-purchase version of Office for both PC and Mac. For Mac users it is the version to choose today: it runs natively on current Macs and it is the only Mac release of Office that Microsoft still supports with updates.
The edition we sell
Microsoft Office Home and Business 2024 (PC/Mac) includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. The license covers one computer, which can be a Mac or a Windows PC. It suits freelancers and small businesses who want Outlook alongside the document apps.
Microsoft also makes an Office LTSC 2024 edition for Mac, aimed at large organisations that deploy it with volume licensing. We do not sell that edition in this category; Home and Business 2024 is the retail version for individual Macs.
What is new in Office 2024
Office 2024 keeps the tools people use every day and adds a set of improvements that Microsoft 365 users received over the previous years:
Updated look for Word, Excel and PowerPoint, closer to current macOS design
Excel functions such as XLOOKUP, LET and dynamic arrays, plus newer text and array functions
Better real-time co-authoring on files stored in OneDrive or SharePoint
Faster performance on Apple Silicon
Copilot is not included. Microsoft’s AI assistant belongs to Microsoft 365 plans, not to one-time Office licenses.
Mac compatibility
Office 2024 runs natively on Mac, so all the apps feel quick and stable. It fits into the Apple ecosystem: files from iCloud Drive and OneDrive open normally, and documents look the same on Mac and on Windows. It works with current macOS security features such as app sandboxing and Gatekeeper checks.
System requirements
Microsoft supports Office for Mac on the three most recent major macOS releases. Keep your Mac on a current macOS version to get updates and the newest features. Office 2024 supports both Apple Silicon (M1 and later) and Intel processors.

Download and installation
You need a Microsoft account to redeem the key and download the apps. Open the link from your order email, sign in, enter the key, and download the installer from Microsoft. The installer walks you through the setup, and on first launch you sign in again to activate. It is simpler than with older Office for Mac versions, and you can start working right after installation.
Activation, updates and support
Microsoft supports Office 2024 until October 9, 2029. Until then it receives security patches and fixes through Microsoft AutoUpdate. If the key does not activate, our team fixes it or sends a replacement. We answer by email at support@hypestkey.com and by live chat. For questions about using the apps themselves, Microsoft Support has guides for most scenarios.
Delivery
The key comes with instant delivery to your email, together with the official Microsoft download link and activation steps. You also see the key on screen after checkout. Compare other versions on the Office for Mac page.
